With so much still unsettled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including the uncertainty of travel plans and a shift in focus to meet remote needs, our planning committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Great Lakes Users’ Conference. This decision is driven by the dominant need to ensure the health and safety of our attendees, presenters, and conference partners.
Though we are disappointed in this outcome, our committee will move forward with an unprecedented excitement to plan the 2021 conference at the VisTaTech Center. We hope this extension will give the nation time to recover and allow our regional schools’ administrators to focus on their pressing priorities.
We will continue to provide you with up-to-date information through these communications and our website. In the coming months, we hope to lean into your unwavering support of our chapter to create an event in 2021 that makes up for our lost time. We look forward to hearing from you and incorporating your ideas into the planning.
